Planning: The most important step.
The planning phase of any website project is the most important and is often overlooked and rushed. During this phase site goals are discussed and flows are created to visualize how a user will find information. At the end a properly executed planning phase a working site flow and strategy will guide the rest of the project.
Design: The creative process.
Working off of the site flow from the planning phase, the design of the overall site will incorporate your marketing focus and target major audiences. The process begins by designing low-level content pages and working up from there. This design style allows for higher-level pages to leverage the content and ideas created for these base pages creating a more coherent and flowing site.
With the average attention span online being less than one second, the homepage must be a vibrant and exciting place. It must focus on the major audiences and help move them through to the content that they are interested in and not overwhelm them with information.
Development: Combination of design and content.
The development phase incorporates the planning, design and content together. The focus will be on ease of use, both on the end user side and for the administrators updating the content. Content management systems (CMS) are the heart of any dynamic site. They power all of the blogs, photo galleries, social networking integration, and content on the site. This tight integration of design, content, and ease of use makes your project stand out from the crowd.
Content: The king.
The design of any site will only engage people for so long. The content is what keeps people coming back and interacting with more of the site. We will work with you to help create new imagery, online videos or update your current content. Integration of social networking sites let users get a more personal content experience and entice them to return on a regular basis.
Testing: Lots of eyes make perfect work.
For a rock solid website, testing must take place in at least two phases. The first stage will focus on overall functionality and flow. The content will not be fully in place yet but all the pages and sections will be ready.
The second stage of testing will be of a more finalized version of the site, one with all modifications and tweaks from the previous stage of testing. It will also look for content errors and flow issues. After all tweaks and modifications are in place, the site will be ready for Launch.
Training: On site and personal.
We offer onsite-training options to best fit your needs. With over six years of teaching experience this will not be your boring show and tell meeting. We will work hands on and walk you through the process of how to update and modify your project.
Feedback and Revision: We don’t quit at launch.
After site launch an optional and unobtrusive feedback form will be available to see how users are interacting with the site. The user feedback and Google Analytics data will be used to tweak and modify any layout, content, or flow issues to better serve the audience.
